Galery Bonsai Klasik I
If you have ever wondered how bonsai trees are made, you are in good
company. These tiny works of living art have delighted and mystified
people for centuries. Perfectly pruned, these miniature trees provide
hours of enjoyment as well as giving an air of relaxation to the room in
which they reside.
So what is a bonsai tree? The word “bonsai” actually refers to the
method in which the tree is planted and not the type of tree itself. In
fact, there are many different species of tree that work well in bonsai
plantings. These plants are usually types of dwarf trees, although some
heartier shrubs can be used as well.
The art of bonsai was developed in ancient Japan and is believed to
be a derivation of a similar practice in China known as penjing. There
are depictions of bonsai trees appearing in ancient Japanese scrolls
dating back to the year 1195.
